WhatsApp has been adding a lot of useful little features to its platform lately, you know? The following Xiaobian for you to explain! such as support for larger  media file sizes, responsive messaging and more.

Meta owns a messaging platform with new features that users have been asking for. If the report goes well, WhatsApp may soon add ways for users to correct typos and text messaging errors. Second, for now, if there are typos or errors in the text, you can simply delete them and resend them.

Or use the asterisk to fix an error in the following message. Unable to edit sent messages. According to WAbetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on an edit button that could change this, allowing users to fix typos more effectively.

WABetaInfo shared a screen shot showing off the upcoming features. To edit a message, the user simply long-presses the sent message and clicks the three-point menu. This brings up an edit option where the user can make the desired changes to the original message and resend it. It is not clear if users will have time to make this edit, or if the edited messages will be flagged like those forwarded by WhatsApp.

It is not yet known how this will be resolved. WhatsApp has reportedly been planning to add an edit button since 2017, and the first evidence of the editing feature was found in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.17.26, but it was never made public to end users. Other messaging platforms, such as Telegram, have allowed users to edit messages for some time.

When WhatsApp is ready to roll out the edit button, it will allow users to test it out before a more general rollout.
