WhatsApp may soon introduce chat filters for all users in a future update!

WhatsApp is testing different ways to improve the user experience. The messaging application has been confirmed to be using chat filters to help users find chat content easily and quickly.

WhatsApp recently rolled out some interesting updates, including the ability to transfer files up to 2 GB, emoji reactions, and more.

According to Wabetaininfo, WhatsApp has rolled out advanced search filters for Android, iOS, and desktop enterprise accounts. Use simple chat filters to quickly find chats. However, WhatsApp will reportedly roll out the feature to all users in a future update.

"WhatsApp makes it easy to search unread chats, contacts, non-contacts and groups. Standard WhatsApp accounts will also be able to use the same features in future updates to the app.

There is another difference: filtering buttons for chat and messages will always appear without searching for them, "the report says. Chat filters have been included in a beta version of WhatsApp on the desktop.

WhatsApp will make this feature available to Android and iOS Beta testers in a future update. The feature has reportedly been released to users who installed WhatsApp beta UWP version 2.2216.4.0 two weeks ago.

For standard WhatsApp accounts, this feature will continue to be under development. On a related note, WhatsApp has officially nailed down some important features.

WhatsApp has launched the ability to send files up to 2GB at a time on WhatsApp. These files are encrypted end-to-end.

The previous setup only allowed users to transfer 100MB at a time, which was not enough. As restrictions increase, transferring large amounts of video and files together becomes less of a problem for users. However, WhatsApp recommends using WiFi for large files.

As mentioned in the blog post, a counter is displayed at upload or download time to let the user know how long the transfer took. In the blog post, WhatsApp also noted that users can now add up to 512 people to groups. Messaging applications currently only allow 256 people to be added to a group.

However, WhatsApp says it will roll out the feature slowly, so you won't notice any changes soon.
